Application
To prevent asphalt from sticking and building up in truck boxes and on rubber tire rollers.
Also prevents the adhesion of clay, contaminated waste, sand, earth, aggregate and other materials.
At the Asphalt Plant
- Ensure that the truck box is relatively clean with no apparent trace of bitumen/asphalt build-up.
- Spray diluted with water or at full strength on all surfaces that come in to contact with asphalt with an appropriate application system. (asphalt release sprayer, diaphragm pump, diffuser/mixer/ foamer)
- For best results, allow the product to dry for a few minutes. The drying time can vary depending on ambient temperature and weather conditions.
- Proceed to load station.
- Repeat for each load.
At the job site
- Once unloaded, make sure the truck box is relatively clean with no apparent trace of bitumen/asphalt accumulation.
- Spray diluted with water or at full strength on all surfaces that come in to contact with asphalt with a pump-up hand sprayer or the truck’s pressure system.
- The travel time to the asphalt plant will allow the BIOPAV20S to fully dry and produce an ultra-efficient protective coating.
Once at the plant, do not apply any other release agents or diesel, they will have a negative effect on the performance of the BIOPAV 20S. - Proceed to load station.
- Repeat for each load.
On Rubber Tire Rollers:
- Depending on the asphalt mix, the product can be diluted with water or applied at full strength.
- Ensure that the tires are relatively clean with no apparent trace of bitumen/asphalt build-up.
- Apply a thin and uniform coating on the entire running surface of each tire.
- Apply at regular intervals with the integrated spray system or a pump-up hand sprayer.
- More frequent applications will be required at morning start up and during cold weather or windy conditions.
